FIFA World Rankings (July 20 Update)

Spain have returned to the top of the FIFA World Rankings following their victorious FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign. After defeating Argentina in the final to claim a second world title, Luis de la Fuente's side overtook the reigning champions to become the world's highest-ranked national team.

Argentina, who entered the tournament as the No. 1-ranked nation, slipped to second place after their defeat in the final, while France retained third position in the latest standings.

One of the biggest changes inside the top 10 saw Germany drop out of the elite group. The four-time world champions, who spent long periods at the summit of the FIFA World Rankings in previous years, are no longer among the top 10 nations.
