FIFA has unveiled its analytical rankings for the recently concluded FIFA World Cup, using a data-driven evaluation system to identify the tournament's standout performers.

Rather than relying solely on goals or assists, every outfield player was assessed on a scale from 0 to 10 across three key performance categories: attacking contribution, creativity and defensive work.

Topping the attacking rankings was Kylian Mbappé. The France forward received an outstanding rating of 9.12 after scoring 10 goals in eight matches, finishing as the tournament's top scorer and once again underlining his status as one of world football's most devastating attacking talents.

England midfielder Jude Bellingham claimed second place with a rating of 8.29, having found the net seven times in eight appearances. Completing the top three was Argentina captain Lionel Messi, who scored eight goals in eight matches and earned an attacking rating of 8.06. While the legendary forward remained one of the competition's most influential players in possession, FIFA's statistical model noted a comparatively limited contribution in defensive phases.
