The Champions League team could not overcome the outsider of the Italian championship

"If we don't beat Cagliari, a win over Real will have little meaning," Paulo Fonseca warned Milan ahead of today's Serie A match. But that's exactly what happened - Champions League team failed to beat the Italian league outsider.

The Rossoneri's troubles started early, when Zortea shot into the far corner after a corner kick. Fonseca's team managed to turn the tide of the game in the first half and scored twice through Rafael Leao's efforts, however after the break Milan had to start all over again - a defensive error led to a goal from by Zappa.

In the 69th minute Christian Pulisic and Tammy Abraham combined efforts put the visitors ahead again, but luck was not on Milan's side today. In the end of the game the Rossoneri defence forgot Zappa in their penalty area and the latter beautifully put the ball into the net - 3-3.
