Barcelona Confirms Delayed Return to Camp Nou Until February 2025
Barcelona has officially announced that the reopening of the iconic Camp Nou will not occur before mid-February 2025, extending the team’s temporary stay at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, also known as Montjuïc.
Originally, the club had aimed to return to their historic home in December 2024 with a reduced capacity. However, a combination of unforeseen construction delays and logistical challenges has pushed the timeline back, meaning fans will have to wait a little longer to see the Blaugrana back at their legendary fortress.
The decision also aligns with UEFA regulations, which prohibit changing venues during the group stage of the Champions League. Barcelona confirmed that the team will remain at Montjuïc through at least the end of January 2025, covering the completion of the initial Champions League phase.
