Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has shared his thoughts ahead of the highly anticipated Der Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund in the 12th round of the Bundesliga.

"We are preparing for a crucial match. It's the most important game of the season, not just for Dortmund, but for us as well. Respecting the opponent is vital. This is a special fixture, and we’re looking forward to it," Kompany stated.

"This is the kind of match that will be watched worldwide, and it’s usually full of excitement. I’ll be delighted if something special happens during the game. Matches like these can often be very emotional."

Kompany also analyzed Dortmund’s strengths: "We always prepare for the best version of our opponent. When Borussia is at their best, they press aggressively. They are also dangerous on the counterattack, with exceptional speed on the flanks and players capable of delivering decisive passes. They’re also very strong in their build-up play."

The match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich is set to take place today, November 30, with kickoff scheduled for 18:30 CET.
