David Alaba has finally returned to team training

There’s cause for celebration at Real Madrid as central defender David Alaba has finally returned to team training after a lengthy 355-day absence.

A Year-Long Wait

The 32-year-old Austrian international has been sidelined since suffering a torn cruciate ligament, an injury that kept him off the pitch for almost an entire year. His return marks a significant boost for the Madrid defense, which has missed his leadership and composure at the back.

Key Figures for Real Madrid

Alaba joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich in July 2021 on a free transfer. Since then, he has made 102 appearances for Los Blancos, contributing five goals and nine assists. His versatility and experience have been invaluable for the Spanish giants.

The Austrian defender remains under contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2026, and his return to fitness is expected to play a vital role in the club’s ambitions for the remainder of the season.
