Vincent Kompany

Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany shared his thoughts on his team’s 1–1 draw with Union in the Bundesliga. The visitors appeared on course for victory after Leroy Sané finished off a cutback from Josip Stanišić in the 75th minute, but Union found an equalizer in the 83rd minute through Hollerbach, capitalizing on an unfortunate clearance by Bayern keeper Urbig.

Germany - Bundesliga: Fixtures, Results & Standings

“For us, it was a match with two sides—performance and result,” Kompany remarked. “We’re not satisfied with the outcome, but we didn’t play badly. For much of the game, we denied them any real chances. In the second half, we attacked more effectively and posed more of a threat.”

He continued, “I tip my hat to Union; they made the most of their only chance. Still, this result doesn’t change anything for us regarding our season’s objectives.”
