Inter and Lazio Share the Spoils in Draw That Hurts Both Sides
Inter Milan missed a crucial opportunity to reclaim top spot in the Serie A standings after being held to a dramatic 2-2 draw by Lazio — a result that does little to help either side in their respective campaigns.
Antonio Conte’s men remain one point behind leaders Napoli heading into the final matchday, failing to capitalise on their title rivals' slip against Parma. Pedro Rodríguez struck twice, including a last-gasp equaliser from the penalty spot deep into stoppage time, silencing the home crowd and stealing a vital point.
The draw leaves the title race wide open. On May 25, Napoli host Cagliari, while Inter travel to face newly-promoted Como. With just one point separating the top two, every second of the final matchday promises high-stakes drama.
