Arsenal have made a major statement in the summer transfer window

Arsenal have made a major statement in the summer transfer window, securing the signing of Spanish midfielder Martín Zubimendi from Real Sociedad in a deal worth around €65 million.

While the club has yet to confirm the length of the contract publicly, sources close to the negotiations report that the 25-year-old has penned a deal running until 2030. The fee will be paid in structured installments.

Zubimendi, a product of the Real Sociedad academy, became a mainstay in the Basque club’s midfield. Over the course of his career in San Sebastián, he featured in 236 matches across all competitions. In the 2024/25 season alone, he made 48 appearances, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist.
