Pardubice - Viktoria Plzen 1:5

The 2025/26 Czech First League season kicked off with a dominant performance by last year’s runners-up, Viktoria Plzeň, who cruised to a 4-0 away win over relegation favourites FK Pardubice.

It took just 75 seconds for the visitors to make their mark — and to score the first goal of the new Czech league season. Former Premier League striker Matěj Vydra pounced on a loose ball in the box and fired home clinically to set the tone for the night.

From there, it was one-way traffic. Plzeň played with intensity, precision, and confidence — a clear warning shot ahead of their crucial midweek clash in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round against Servette FC of Switzerland.
