Como produced a statement performance in Serie A

Como, led by head coach Cesc Fabregas, produced a statement performance in Serie A, bouncing back from their recent defeat to AC Milan with a stunning 3–0 away victory over Lazio in the heart of Rome.

The visitors set the tone almost immediately. Just two minutes into the contest, Martin Baturina struck to silence the home crowd, punishing a slow start from Lazio. The hosts never truly recovered, and midway through the first half Nico Paz doubled Como’s advantage with a calm and clinical finish.

The Argentine midfielder had the chance to put the result beyond doubt before the break, but Ivan Provedel kept Lazio alive by saving a penalty. Any hopes of a comeback, however, were short-lived. Early in the second half, Nico Paz completed his brace, delivering a decisive blow and effectively ending the contest.

Lazio could have suffered further humiliation late on, only for Provedel to deny Lucas Da Cunha with an excellent save in the closing stages. Still, the damage had already been done.
