Barcelona have officially confirmed the signing of Rodri from Manchester City, with both clubs announcing the blockbuster transfer on Tuesday. The deal is reportedly worth around €70 million, with €60m paid as a guaranteed fee and a further €10m available in performance-related bonuses.

Barcelona unveiled the arrival of the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner with a typically creative announcement. "The master of space and time arrives in Barcelona," the Catalan club declared, accompanying the message with a video featuring a clock bearing the club crest.

Manchester City confirmed that Rodri has joined the Spanish giants subject to the completion of international transfer formalities, bringing an end to an outstanding seven-year spell at the Etihad Stadium.

The midfielder leaves Manchester City after establishing himself as one of the most influential players of his generation. During his time in England, Rodri became a central figure in the club's dominance both domestically and in Europe, while his individual performances ultimately earned him the 2024 Ballon d'Or.
