Robbie Keane Takes Charge at Ferencváros

Robbie Keane, a former Tottenham star, has been officially appointed as the new head coach of Hungarian outfit Ferencváros. The Irishman steps in to replace Dutchman Pascal Jansen, bringing a wealth of Premier League and international experience to the Budapest-based club.

Widely recognized as one of Tottenham’s most prolific forwards in the 21st century, Keane made 238 appearances for the North London side, netting an impressive 91 goals. After retiring from his successful playing career, he began his coaching journey with the Republic of Ireland national team as an assistant coach, before taking on similar roles at Middlesbrough and Leeds United.

Most recently, during the 2023/24 season, Keane served as manager of Maccabi Tel Aviv. Now at the helm of Ferencváros, the Irish legend will look to instill a winning mindset in his squad, aiming to make a significant impact on Hungarian football and further enhance his reputation as a promising manager.
