February proved to be a perfect month for Barcelona

A special birthday gift for Hansi Flick, as La Liga has named the Barcelona head coach the best manager of February. The German tactician, celebrating his 60th birthday, triumphed in the vote ahead of Pepper Bordalás of Getafe and Carlos Corberán of Valencia.

February proved to be a perfect month for Barcelona, who won all four of their matches: a narrow 1-0 victory over Alavés, a dominant 4-1 win against Sevilla, a solid 1-0 triumph over Rayo Vallecano, and a 2-0 defeat of Las Palmas. This stunning run saw the Catalan giants surge up the league table, closing the gap to the Madrid clubs and securing the top spot—helped, of course, by the inconsistent form of their rivals from Madrid.

For Flick, this marks his third Manager of the Month award this season.
