Bayern will have to do without French defender Dayo Upamecano in the coming weeks

Bayern Munich will be without two key players in the coming weeks, as both Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano picked up injuries while on international duty.

The Bundesliga champions confirmed that Upamecano has suffered a ligament tear in his left knee and is expected to miss several weeks. This follows the serious injury to Davies, who was recently diagnosed with a torn ACL and will be sidelined for several months.

"Unfortunately, there's always a risk of injuries during international breaks, and this time we've been hit hard," said Bayern board member Max Eberl. "Losing both Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano is a big blow."

"Dayot will receive all the medical support he needs. We’ll monitor his recovery closely and expect him back soon. Our squad has the depth and quality to absorb these setbacks. We remain fully committed to our objectives and will move forward with even greater unity."
