The club’s return to their spiritual home will be marked in fitting fashion

FC Barcelona have officially confirmed the completion of the long-awaited renovation of their iconic home ground, the Spotify Camp Nou. The extensive works, which began in June 2023, have transformed the stadium into one of the largest in Europe, now boasting a capacity of 105,000 seats.

The club’s return to their spiritual home will be marked in fitting fashion — with the prestigious Joan Gamper Trophy match, scheduled for 10 August 2025. It will be the first fixture played at the revamped Camp Nou in over two years, as Barça had temporarily relocated to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on Montjuïc during construction.

In an emotional statement, Barcelona described the return as "a step into the future" and "an opportunity to feel again, to relive the emotions together, and to continue building the Barça of tomorrow."

The upgraded stadium not only enhances the matchday experience for fans but also symbolizes a new era for the Catalan giants - blending tradition with modern ambition. The Camp Nou's modernization is a cornerstone of the Espai Barça project, designed to secure the club’s competitiveness both on and off the pitch for decades to come.
