The situation is escalating quickly

Ademola Lookman has reportedly gone on an unofficial strike at Atalanta, skipping team training for a second consecutive day amid rising tensions over a blocked move to Inter Milan. The Nigerian forward is said to be pushing for a transfer, while Atalanta have rejected two bids from Inter — reportedly worth €40 million and €45 million.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club officially listed Lookman as having a calf injury, with an individual training session scheduled for Tuesday — one he failed to attend. The 26-year-old later took to social media to voice his frustration, citing "broken promises" and "disrespectful treatment" by the club.

Dispute Over Verbal Agreement

Lookman claims Atalanta broke a verbal agreement to allow him to leave if a suitable offer arrived. General director Luca Percassi responded publicly, confirming that the club blocked a move to Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but stated the agreement was only applicable to clubs outside Serie A.

The situation is escalating quickly. At Atalanta’s training ground in Zingonia, angry fans have already begun displaying anti-Lookman banners. Despite the unrest, Inter Milan are said to be preparing a third offer and remain optimistic about striking a deal.
