Mykhailo Mudryk Return Delayed by Six Months to a Year

Speculation that Mykhailo Mudryk could make a return to top-flight football as early as January has been greatly exaggerated. Speedline reports that the Ukrainian winger faces a much longer road back following his enforced absence.
According to sources, Mudryk will definitely not feature this season, meaning he will also be unavailable for the Ukraine national team. His comeback, following a doping controversy and an as-yet undisclosed suspension, may not occur until next winter rather than the upcoming summer.
The destination for his return is already known. Mudryk is expected to join Strasbourg in France — Chelsea’s satellite club — where he will have the chance to rebuild match fitness and form. A successful stint in Strasbourg could pave the way for a return to Chelsea if he proves himself on French soil.
