The women’s ice hockey tournament at the 2026 Winter Olympics will get underway on 5 February. A total of 10 teams will take part, split into two groups during the preliminary round.

Under the competition format, all five teams from Group A will advance to the quarter-finals, where they will be joined by the top three teams from Group B.

The defending Olympic champions are Canada.
