Trabzonspor goalkeeper André Onana was transported to hospital for medical attention after being involved in a multi-vehicle traffic collision on his way home from training.

According to local Turkish media reports, another vehicle struck the rear of Onana’s car, triggering a chain reaction that propelled his vehicle into the car ahead. Emergency services were dispatched immediately to the scene of the accident along the Yomra road, situated just outside the Black Sea coastal city of Trabzon.

Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan moved quickly to reassure supporters regarding the Cameroon international’s condition later in the evening.

"André Onana was involved in a road traffic collision tonight," Doğan told local reporters. "He is in good condition, and we wish him a full and speedy recovery."
