In June, Ukraine U21 will have four final matches of the 2023 UEFA Euro U21 Championship qualifying competition.

The team led by Ruslan Rotan are preparing for the games in Istanbul. Here, at Istanbulspor’s home ground Esenyurt Necmi Kadioglu Stadium (seating capacity of 4,500), Ukraine U21 will play their home games against North Macedonia U21 and France U21. Also, the Ukrainians will have away games vs the Faroe Islands U21 and Armenia U21.

June 1st. Faroe Islands U21 vs Ukraine U21 (Torshavn, 20:00)
June 5th. Ukraine U21 vs North Macedonia U21 (Istanbul, 20:45)
June 9th. Ukraine U21 vs France U21 (Istanbul, 19:45)
June 12th. Armenia U21 vs Ukraine U21 (Yerevan, 18:00)

France U21 are currently topping Group H (7 matches, 19 points). Ukraine U21 are sitting in the second spot (6, 13), Serbia U21 have the third position (8, 11). To continue competing for the Euro berth, the Ukrainians need to secure at least the second spot.

The Euro 2023 finals will feature 16 teams: Romania U21, Georgia U21 (as the competition hosts) and 14 more select teams to join in (nine group winners, the best team among the runners-up and four winners of the play-offs to involve eight runners-up). The playoffs will take place on September 20-27, with the final tournament to take place in the summer of 2023.
