Fernando Santos, Portugal coach, speaking about his team victory in a Nations League game against Czech republic:

- It is always important not to concede. The result is more than fair. In the first 20 minutes we controlled the game with a good start and possession, but we were not very productive. But we controlled the game and did not allow any counterattacks from the Czech Republic.

After 20 minutes, we started to circulate the ball well, with more depth, wanting to reach the area and create breaks. That was very well done. We scored two goals but could have scored two more. Before that, we were controlling the game but we lacked attacking dynamism in front of goal.

The game slowed down. There was control by Portugal but without attacking the depth to force the opponent to go back. So there was little space and it became difficult to combine moves. We could have created more danger on two or three occasions. There was some fatigue, some players were not able to press as much and that allowed our opponents to play and have more of the ball. I think it was the result of fatigue.
