Xherdan Shaqiri, Switzerland forward, commented on his team's defeat in a home game against Spain:

- That was definitely an improvement on recent games. In the first half we weren't brave enough. In the second we were more in the game and were able to put Spain under pressure. They have the quality to get themselves out of those situations, though.
