Shakhtar Football Director Darijo Srna commented on the club's current situation:

- I don't know how ready are foreigners to play for Shakhtar today. I'm not sure they will return. However, our Ukrainians players are real patriots. No one even asked for a transfer to another club. Everyone wants to stay and play for Shakhtar.

The club is constantly in touch with all other Ukrainian teams. We need to find a compromise and start the championship to show the whole world that life goes on in the country.

Shakhtar will represent Ukraine in the Champions League. This will already be a small victory over the aggressor. Shakhtar lost its home for the second time, but the team is alive, plays in the Champions League and does not give up.
