The Orange-and-Blacks continue working on fitness and tactics. The team's pre-season training is going non-stop. So on Wednesday July 20, the Miners had two full-fledged training sessions. The morning began with fitness training – in the gym, the players warmed up and loaded all muscle groups. The session continued on the pitch, where they practised completion of attacks and shots at goal from various distances, also performing some defensive exercises. The weather also contributed to the good work – today it is cool in Rotterdam and it is drizzling.

The evening session started with the introduction of Shakhtar's newcomer Neven Djurasek, for whom this training was the first with the Orange-and-Blacks. The team completed a series of ball retaining exercises and getting rid of pressure, held a tactical small-sided game and a 5v5 mini-tournament. Igor Jovicevic and the coaching staff, as always, thanked each player for the work done.

This is a reminder that Shakhtar are to play their first friendly on July 22 vs Fortuna Sittard. Then the Miners will also have the Shakhtar Global Tour for Peace charity matches vs Ajax (July 26) and Utrecht (July 30).
