UEFA punish Fenerbahce for fans' pro-Putin chant

The Appeals Body has announced the following decisions which would affect the attendance of supporters to UEFA matches:

Match: 2022/23 UEFA Champions League, Fenerbahçe SK vs. FC Dynamo Kyiv, played on 27 July 2022 in Turkey

Decision:

1. To warn Fenerbahçe SK for the improper conduct of its team.

2. To fine Fenerbahçe SK €50,000 and to order the partial closure of Fenerbahçe SK stadium, which shall consist of at least 5,000 seats, during the next one (1) UEFA club competition match in which Fenerbahçe SK will play as host club, for the throwing of objects and transmitting a provocative message of an offensive nature, i.e. illicit chants. Said partial stadium closure is subject to a probationary period of two (2) years, starting from the date of the present decision.
