Justin Lonwijk joins FC Dynamo Kyiv

FC Dynamo Kyiv have conducted the transfer of the midfielder Justin Lonwijk from the Danish side Viborg FF.

The player has signed 5-year contract with our club.

Justin was born on December 21 1999 in Tilburg. He’s PSV Eindhoven trainee. Lonwijk joined the Eindhoven side from Willem II at the age of 10.

He performed for PSV U19 (50 matches, 20 goals, 6 assists, 6 appearances in UEFA Youth League) and U21 (33 matches, 6 goals, 5 assists), but never made his debut for the first team and joined Utrecht in summer of 2019.

In Utrecht he also mostly featured for the youth team, but made 3 appearances in the Eredivisie. In January of 2021 Justin conducted loan move to the Danish side Viborg and later signed a contract with this club.

Justin made 60 domestic league appearances for Viborg in total (8 goals, 7 assists, 14 bookings).

This season Lonwijk played 9 games for Viborg in the Danish league (2 goals, 1 assist) and 6 in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualification (1 assist).

Lonwijk used to perform for the Netherlands youth teams of different age.

His native position is midfielder. Quite often he played as attacking and central defensive midfielder. This season Viborg used him as a winger (played in both sides and forward).
