Onana: If I’m going to the World Cup, it’s to make an impact

Belgium's Amadou Onana spoke to FIFA+ about his expectations from 2022 World Cup.

“I believe in myself, I believe in my abilities and my work,” he said. “If I’m going to the World Cup, it’s to make an impact. It’s not just for me to go and say, ‘I’m here and that’s fine’. I haven’t got any limits. I will not put any on myself. Even the sky is not the limit. I will just go for it. I repeat: I am definitely here to make an impact.”

“We have to be confident but not arrogant, and have total focus for each game. I have the feeling we can compete with anyone. That is the mindset I’m in, the mindset everyone has to be in. There are a lot of tough teams, but we are tough too.”
