Women's World Cup 2023: Hosts Australia lose to Nigeria

Australia played Nigeria at the 2023 Women's World Cup, but failed to score points in today's match.

The hosts took the lead in stoppage time thanks to a goal by Emily Van Egmond, but the African team quickly responded with a strike from Uchenna Kanu. After the break the advantage of Nigeria was increased by Asisat Oshoala and Osinachi Ohale, to which Australia managed to answer with only one goal before the final whistle.
