Los Angeles Times has revealed the salary of Inter Miami star striker Lionel Messi.
According to the source, the base salary of the 36-year-old Argentine is $12 million. But there is still guaranteed bonuses in the amount of $20.4 million.
The source also notes that due to sponsorship agreements with Adidas, Fanatics and Apple, Lionel's annual salary will be $50-60 million.
Messi thus became the highest-paid player in MLS, surpassing Toronto's Lorenzo Insigne, who earns about $23 million a year.
