Pušić is tired, but happy

Shakhtar head coach Marino Pusic summed up the results of his two-month work with the team.

– Firstly, you said "two months", but it feels like much more time has passed because it was a very hectic period. I came the day before the match against Barcelona. We played a lot of matches, spent a lot of time together on the road, so everything feels longer. The important thing was that the team and all the employees of the club welcomed me very warmly and made me feel good. A certain connection was felt immediately, there was a good energy. These are important foundations for further development and cooperation.

It is also important that the team accepted my football philosophy in all its details because I worked very hard and tried to build the necessary connection, so it was extremely nice to see and feel it. My players had a great first stage. The way we play is very important, as are the results and the goals we have achieved during these two months. As for the domestic league, yes, we have one loss and one draw, but it was important to stay in the top of the table and we are right there. If we win the two postponed games, we will be in first spot.

In the European competitions, we played a historic match against Barcelona. The first game was good, but our winning match deserves special attention. This win will see us continue our European campaign after the winter break. As for the special moments, for me it's how we work together with the team and everyone at the club. When there is a good atmosphere, then there are achievements, - said Pusic to Shakhtar.com.
