Chelsea v Newcastle 2:1

Mikhailo Mudryk's Chelsea faced an equally ambitious opponent - Newcastle in the ninth round of the EPL.

Chelsea started the match very actively and in the fourth minute Palmer scored, but his goal was cancelled due to offside after VAR intervention.

But in the 18th minute, the hosts opened the score - Neto crossed the ball to Jackson, who shot past the goalkeeper into an empty corner.

Newcastle got back into the game in the 32nd minute. Isak clearly blocked a shot, sending the ball into the bottom corner of the goal.

Before the break, Pope saved Newcastle from a second goal, deflecting Neto's shot from the penalty line.

As soon as the second half began, Palmer scored what turned out to be the decisive goal. With a beautiful shot after Lavia's pass he sent the ball into the left corner.

Soon Neto had an excellent header, but hit the bar.

On 67 minutes, Mikhailo Mudryk came on from the bench. After 15 minutes he had a chance to score Chelsea's third goal, but the Ukrainian failed to beat Pope. And the score remained the same - 2:1 in favour of Chelsea.
