Reece James, captain of Chelsea, will miss the upcoming Premier League clash against Leicester City after sustaining another injury during his international duty with England.

The right-back had only recently returned to full fitness following a previous setback but now finds himself back in the treatment room.

Manager’s Update

Speaking ahead of the match, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca provided an update on the player’s condition:

"We have just one confirmed injury — Reece James. He felt some discomfort, and we don’t want to take any risks with his health. It’s an issue with his hamstring, a muscle problem. He won’t be available this week."

Maresca added:

"Reece is the only definite absentee. The rest of the squad is in varying states — some players are feeling better, while others remain doubtful. We’ll assess them closer to the game."

Match Details

Chelsea will face Leicester City on Thursday, November 23, with kickoff scheduled for 13:30 CET. The Blues will need to navigate this fixture without their skipper as they look to climb the league standings.
