According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool have been in contact with Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, and the negotiations are said to be moving in a positive direction. However, the sticking point remains Salah's salary demands. Already the club's highest earner, the forward is seeking an increase in his wages as part of the new deal.

Salah continues to deliver exceptional performances on the pitch. In 18 appearances across all competitions this season, the Egyptian has scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists. Notably, he is the only player across Europe's top leagues to have already reached double digits in both categories.
