Premier League

The 13th round of the Premier League kicked off with a dramatic encounter between Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton.

The home side struck first in the middle of the first half when Kaoru Mitoma expertly headed the ball into the net from a pinpoint cross by Tarik Lamptey.

However, Brighton couldn’t hold onto their advantage. In the 59th minute, Flynn Downes equalized for Southampton with a well-placed finish inside the penalty area, leveling the score at 1-1.

Despite the draw, Brighton managed to climb above Manchester City in the Premier League standings. They are now tied on points with Pep Guardiola’s side but sit second due to a superior goal difference.
