Kylian Mbappe Named France's Player of the Year
Kylian Mbappe, the star forward of Real Madrid, has been crowned France's Player of the Year for 2024, as voted by France Football. The prestigious award marks another milestone in the illustrious career of the Frenchman.
Mbappe secured 56 votes, narrowly edging out William Saliba, Arsenal's standout defender, by just five points. The rules of the voting process prevent players from selecting themselves, and Mbappe's own top three choices were Saliba, Eduardo Camavinga, and Aurelien Tchouameni, highlighting the wealth of talent in French football.
This is the second consecutive year that Mbappe has claimed the title and the fourth time overall, further cementing his position as a generational talent and a dominant figure in the sport.
