Vinicius Jr has been named The Best FIFA Men’s Player for the first time.

The nominees for the Player of the Year award in 2024 were Jude Bellingham, Daniel Carvajal, Kylian Mbappe, Federico Valverde, Vinicius Junior (all Real Madrid), Erling Holand, Rodri (both Manchester City), Toni Kroos (career-ending), Lionel Messi (Inter Miami), Florian Wirz (Bayer) and Lamine Yamal (Barcelona).

The winner was Vinicius Júnior, a representative of the Brazilian national team and Real Madrid. In the 2023/24 season, the player won the UEFA Champions League 2023-24, Spanish La Liga 2023-24 and 2024 Spanish Super Cup. In total, Vinicius played 39 matches for Real Madrid in the 2023/24 season and scored 24 goals.

He topped the voting ahead of ten fellow nominees with 48 points, finishing ahead of Manchester City midfielder Rodri (43 points) and Real Madrid colleague Jude Bellingham (37 points).
