United took the lead through Lisandro Martinez, whose scored with a brilliant strike. However, Liverpool responded quickly with Cody Gakpo's equalizer. Mohamed Salah then put Liverpool ahead from a penalty kick following a handball by Matthijs de Ligt. Despite this, Manchester United managed to level the score late in the game with Amad Diallo scoring off a cross from Alejandro Garnacho.
