Pep Guardiola Breaks Records

Pep Guardiola received some uplifting news after a series of setbacks in recent weeks. Manchester City crushed Ipswich with a 6-0 victory, once again elevating their head coach to greatness. This win marked Guardiola's 13th in the Premier League where his team (and so far, City is the only one he's coached in the league) scored at least six goals in a match. With this achievement, the Spaniard now stands alongside the legendary Arsène Wenger, who also had 13 such victories during his tenure with Arsenal (1996-2018). The only person ahead of them is Sir Alex Ferguson, who achieved 14 such wins while managing Manchester United from 1986 to 2013.

2024-25 Premier League Standings

Guardiola still has plenty of time to surpass this milestone. In November, he extended his contract with Manchester City until the summer of 2027. Based on average statistics, he is expected to overtake Sir Alex in terms of victories with six or more goals scored during this period.
