Salah Rewrites Premier League History
Mohamed Salah continues to etch his name into the history books of the Premier League. The Egyptian forward scored a brace in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Bournemouth, helping the Reds extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points.
These goals allowed Salah to surpass Chelsea legend Frank Lampard in the all-time Premier League scoring charts. With 178 goals, Salah now sits in sixth place, just seven goals behind Sergio Agüero in fifth.
Salah has long been a key figure for Liverpool, playing a pivotal role in their Champions League and Premier League triumphs. However, with his contract set to expire this summer, questions remain about how many more goals he can add to his tally. With 15 matches left in the season, Salah has a chance to catch Andy Cole (187 goals) and climb to fifth place. The all-time leader remains Alan Shearer (260 goals), followed by Harry Kane (213), Wayne Rooney (208), Cole, and Agüero (184).
