Crystal Palace has turned down an €84 million offer from Tottenham Hotspur

In a surprising move, Crystal Palace has turned down an €84 million offer from Tottenham Hotspur for their star defender, Marc Guéhi. According to BBC Sport, the deal ultimately fell through.

Guéhi, who is part of the England national team, has just 18 months left on his contract with Crystal Palace. This season, the 24-year-old has impressed, featuring in 23 Premier League matches and scoring three goals, helping his team secure a mid-table spot. Currently, Palace sits in 12th place, three points clear of Tottenham in the standings.

It is expected that Spurs will not raise their bid for the highly rated defender in this transfer window, despite their interest in strengthening their backline.

Interestingly, Chelsea is also reportedly eyeing a move for Guéhi, despite having sold him to Crystal Palace in 2021 for just £18 million.
