Robin van Persie Takes the Helm at Feyenoord
Feyenoord has appointed a new head coach, and it's none other than one of their legendary figures—Robin van Persie. The former striker, who began and ended his illustrious playing career in Rotterdam, has returned to the club, this time as its manager.
Van Persie takes charge of a team currently competing in the Champions League Round of 16, where they are set to face Inter Milan. Domestically, Feyenoord sits third in the Eredivisie, trailing leaders Ajax by 11 points and second-placed PSV by 9.
This isn't van Persie's first coaching role at Feyenoord. He initially joined the club as an assistant to Dick Advocaat in 2020, later managing the U-18 team. In 2024, he took his first head coaching role at Heerenveen, gaining valuable experience.
