Mohamed Salah has lived up to expectations by eclipsing the record set by Luis Suarez for the most goal involvements in a single Premier League season. In Saturday’s clash with Southampton, the Egyptian forward netted a brace—both from the penalty spot.

By doing so, Salah has now tallied 44 goals and assists since the start of the current Premier League campaign—two more than the 42 achieved by Suarez in the 2013–14 season, and also eclipsing Salah’s own 2017–18 record.
