Golden State Warriors on Verge of Historic NBA Starting Lineup Record
The Golden State Warriors are closing in on a stunning piece of NBA history. Since acquiring Jimmy Butler in a blockbuster trade, the Warriors have introduced a new starting five: Butler, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski.
That lineup has started 13 games — and won all 13. Crucially, the Warriors have lost every game in which either Butler or Curry was absent from the starting lineup.
If this group remains undefeated in its starts through the final six games of the regular season, Golden State will become the first team in NBA history to go unbeaten in at least 12 games with the same starting five.
The Warriors are currently fifth in the Western Conference and riding a four-game winning streak, with momentum building just in time for the playoffs.
