It was the end of an era at the King Power Stadium as Jamie Vardy played his final match for Leicester City, marking the occasion in fitting fashion with a goal in a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town.

Making his 500th appearance for the Foxes, the 37-year-old striker found the net for the 200th time in Leicester colours — a staggering record that cements his place among the club's greatest-ever players.

The goal came in the 28th minute, when James Justin surged forward from midfield and squared the ball into the box. Vardy, as sharp as ever, slotted it past the keeper with a low finish under pressure — a classic striker’s goal that brought the crowd to its feet.

Kasey McAteer added a second for the hosts in the second half, but all eyes remained on Vardy. In the 80th minute, he was substituted to a thunderous standing ovation, making way for Patson Daka in an emotional farewell moment that left fans misty-eyed.

While Vardy has yet to announce his next destination, he confirmed post-match that he intends to continue his playing career. Wherever he goes, he leaves behind a Leicester legacy that will be almost impossible to match.
