What was meant to be a night of celebration turned tragic across France following Paris Saint-Germain's historic UEFA Champions League final victory. According to the French Interior Ministry, two people died and hundreds were arrested amid nationwide unrest triggered by post-match celebrations.

Local media report that in the southwestern city of Dax, a 17-year-old boy died from a stab wound to the chest during a street altercation. In central Paris, a 23-year-old man riding a scooter was killed after colliding with a car during the chaotic scenes.

The Interior Ministry confirmed that 559 arrests were made overnight, including 491 in Paris alone. A total of 192 people were injured, including 22 police officers and 7 firefighters. Authorities also reported 264 vehicles set on fire during the clashes.

Despite the violence, PSG is set to hold a victory parade on Sunday along the Champs-Élysées, where tens of thousands of fans are expected to attend. Paris police chief Laurent Nuñez has announced that security will be significantly reinforced, with increased deployment of police and military personnel to ensure safety during the event.
