La Liga champions continued their pre-season tour of East Asia in style

La Liga champions Barcelona continued their pre-season tour of East Asia in style, delivering a five-star performance against South Korean side Daegu FC in a highly entertaining exhibition match.

The Catalan giants had initially cast doubt over their participation in the tour, but eventually made the trip to South Korea — much to the delight of local fans, who were treated to a footballing spectacle.

In the first half, it was all about rising star Gavi. The Spanish midfielder bagged a clinical brace, scoring in the 21st and 45+2 minutes. Sandwiched in between was a trademark goal from Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who made it 2–0 in the 27th minute.

Head coach Hansi Flick made a full rotation at half-time, but the changes did little to slow down Barça’s rhythm. Fermín López Fernández added a fourth in the 54th minute, before Marcus Rashford — recently linked with a loan move — rounded off the rout in the 65th minute with a powerful finish.

This 5–0 victory follows another goal-packed friendly just three days earlier, when Barcelona defeated FC Seoul 7–3 in the same tour.
