Serhiy Rebrov: “We’ll give our all to take points from France”

Ukraine head coach Serhiy Rebrov shared his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s crucial FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier against France. The clash in Paris will be one of the final tests for the “Blue and Yellows” as they fight for a spot at the world’s biggest football stage.
“We always have some injured players,” Rebrov admitted. “Before the previous matches, the situation was a bit better, but Voloshyn, who joined the national team, showed an excellent performance against Iceland. I’m pleased with every player who comes to represent Ukraine — they give everything on the pitch for our country.”
The coach emphasized that he sees no reason to separate the matches against France and Iceland: “Every game matters. These are decisive fixtures, and the players understand that. We have to prepare well and step onto the field ready to fight.”
Reflecting on the first meeting with Les Bleus, Rebrov noted that Ukraine had chances to equalize: “We analyzed that match carefully. We had opportunities in the second half and will try to capitalize on them this time. Our goal is to take points in Paris.”
“Both games are very important. We can’t be thinking about Iceland right now — all our focus is on France. The players will give their maximum to achieve a positive result. We respect our opponent, but our main task is to play our own football and show what makes us strong,” added Rebrov.
The coach also praised his squad’s commitment and quality: “Our players are performing at a high level. I can see their hunger and determination. For these two matches, we’ve called up enough talented players capable of fulfilling our goal.”
The France vs. Ukraine match will kick off on November 13 at 20:45 CET. Expect an intense battle — and a Ukrainian team ready to fight for every inch of the pitch.
