One of the standout fixtures of Matchday Two at the Africa Cup of Nations lived up to expectations, as Nigeria claimed a dramatic 3–2 victory over Tunisia in a pulsating Group C encounter.

The Super Eagles looked in complete control for large spells and surged into a commanding three-goal lead. Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi and Ademola Lookman all found the net, showcasing Nigeria’s power, balance and attacking depth on the continental stage.

But the contest was far from over. Tunisia responded with real character, mounting a late comeback that turned the match into a nerve-shredding finale. Talbi reignited hope with a well-taken goal, before Ali Abdi converted from the penalty spot to reduce the deficit to just one.

The closing minutes were tense, with Tunisia pushing hard for an equaliser that would have completed a remarkable turnaround. However, Nigeria held their nerve, showing resilience and defensive composure when it mattered most.
