The draw has been made

The draw has been made, and the full set of fixtures for the Copa del Rey round of 16 in the 2025/26 season is now confirmed.

Barcelona, the reigning holders, will face a tricky test away from home against Racing Santander, the current leaders of Segunda División. Meanwhile, Real Madrid have also been handed a lower-league opponent, travelling to take on Albacete, another ambitious side from Spain’s second tier.

The draw has also produced three all-La Liga clashes, guaranteeing high drama and early exits for top-flight teams. Real Betis will meet Elche, Real Sociedad go head-to-head with Osasuna, while Rayo Vallecano face a tough away trip to Alaves.

Full Copa del Rey round of 16 draw:

Deportivo La Coruña — Atletico Madrid Racing Santander — Barcelona Cultural Leonesa — Athletic Club Albacete — Real Madrid Burgos — Valencia Real Betis — Elche Real Sociedad — Osasuna Alaves — Rayo Vallecano

All ties will be played between 13 and 15 January, keeping the traditional single-leg knockout format that has long defined the magic of the Copa del Rey. The final is scheduled for 25 April 2026.
